Carver Yachts Will Unveil New C37 Coupé at Miami International Boat Show

Carver Yacht is making plans to unveil its latest new vessel on February 14, 2014 during this year’s Miami International Boat Show. This new model, named the Carver C37 Coupé, is the third all new yacht the company has introduced in the past 12 months. The company’s aggressive new product development schedule is unmatched by any other company in this segment of the market.

The new C37 Coupé’s swim platform, cockpit, salon, galley and helm station are integrated into a unified, single level floor plan. There are no steps between the cockpit and the interior of the yacht and the hinged salon doors swing open to provide wide access to the salon from the cockpit. This is a highly desirable feature and one that is unique to Carver. The accommodations level of the new C37 includes two very private staterooms and a roomy head compartment equipped with a spacious fiberglass stall shower with hinged Lexan door. Owners and their guests will appreciate having homelike shower accommodations on board rather than using public showers at the marina.

People will love the new C37 both for how it looks and how it performs. The planning hull has a 13’ beam and a running surface designed to deliver a stable, smooth, dry ride. When equipped with twin Mercruiser 377 Magnum B3 stern drives the Carver C37 is expected to deliver top end speed approaching 40 mph. Twin diesel engines are also available. Additional high value features include a power actuated sun roof in the salon ceiling, extra-wide walk around side decks, L-shaped cockpit seating and an island berth in the master stateroom. A power retractable cockpit sunshade is available as an owner specified addition.

‘Over the past 60 years Carver has earned the reputation for building high quality, dependable boats and yachts that deliver more homelike features than any other brand’ – stated Robert VanGrunsven, Carver’s President and a 38 year veteran of the company. ‘The Carvers we are building today continue this tradition of excellence. And, through our use of superior engineering and modern construction technology, we are able to offer our new models to the market for very attractive prices. Our new Carvers represent the very best value in the industry “- said VanGrunsven.

The first C37 is scheduled for sea trials off the coast of Southern Florida in late January. From there, the yacht will be on display within the Carver Yachts indoor exhibit (display location C71) at the Miami Beach Convention Center during the 2014 Miami International Boat Show February 13 – 17.

Matthew VanGrunsven Named New VP of Global Sales

Pulaski, Wis., (July 24, 2013) Marquis Yachts, LLC has promoted Matthew VanGrunsven to vice president of global sales for the company, which builds Carver and Marquis yachts.

Irwin Jacobs, owner/partner of Marquis Yachts, LLC made the announcement this week saying that VanGrunsven, formerly the company’s sales director, was a natural choice for the role because of his experience with the Carver and Marquis lines and his successful track record with the company. VanGrunsven will be responsible for developing the company’s global sales strategy and managing ongoing sales activities. More than 60% of the company’s premium quality yachts are sold outside the United States and Canada. Matthew has been with the company for 10 years and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing and finance from Marquette University.

“We are in good hands to have Matt heading our sales division,” Jacobs said. “His experience and passion for representing the Marquis and Carver brands make him an excellent choice to lead the company into the future.

VanGrunsven assumes the new role at a time when the company, especially the Carver division, is in the middle of an aggressive period of new product development, unveiling three new yachts in 2013 alone. So far this year, Carver has unveiled the C34, the C40, and has announced the Carver 37’ Coupé which will be launched later this year. The three new yachts represent Carver’s design philosophy of filling an unmet need in the yachting market by combining quality and dependability together with superior accommodations and value.

“It’s exciting for me to be given the opportunity to help lead this company as it launches a new and fresh generation of yachts,” VanGrunsven said. “It is very gratifying to be a part of the leadership team that has and will continue to make Marquis and Carver two of the strongest brands in the industry.”

VanGrunsven replaces Erik Nelson who left the company recently to assume a similar role at a recreational equipment manufacturer in Minnesota. VanGrunsven lives in Green Bay and will be based at Marquis’ shipyard and corporate headquarters in Wisconsin.

Carver Yachts Leads the Industry with the Introduction of Three New Models in 2013

Pulaski, WI, June 27, 2013: Carver Yachts is taking a very aggressive stance by developing and unveiling three totally new models for the 2013 calendar year. These new models include the low profile command bridge style Carver C34 which was first introduced at the 2013 New York National Boat Show, the Carver C40 which will be unveiled to the public next week, and a Carver 37’ Coupé scheduled for launch later this year. It has been several years since a yacht builder has introduced this many totally new models in such a compressed period of time.
“Developing this many new boats in just a twelve month period is very aggressive.” stated Robert VanGrunsven, President of Marquis Yachts, LLC builders of Carver brand yachts and a thirty eight year veteran of the recreational boating industry. “We kicked this project off by taking a very careful look at what was being offered in the midsize segment of the industry and decided to create an exciting new line of cruising yachts that are unlike anything currently available. We set out to energize the market with a new line that would generate lots of excitement and give people a great reason to consider buying a new boat…a boat that is different and offers much more than the one they currently own. Developing entirely new products also gave us a unique opportunity to utilize numerous new yacht building methods and materials which have led to greater efficiency and a reduction in non-value added expense. That’s how we can bring these three new products to market at price points that represent the absolute best value of any similar sized product. People who have seen the new Caver C34 have been amazed, and they will be equally impressed with the new C40 and 37’ Coupé.” – added VanGrunsven.

“The response to the new Carver C34 has been tremendous with our building backlog extending to the end of 2013. The results of our spring boat show launch strategy have exceeded our expectations on all levels” commented Erik Nelson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Carver Yachts. “There have been thousands of people who have toured the C34 since it was launched last January. The common thread is that this new Carver offers the space and accommodations of a much larger yacht than the C34’s 34’ LOA. People are also impressed when they learn that the C34 is priced much lower than expected for a 34’ high quality, full featured yacht built by an established and proven American yacht builder”.
“We are and will continue to approach the market very aggressively” added Robert VanGrunsven. “These new Carvers represent a fresh way of thinking about spacious, comfortable cruising yachts that deliver value far beyond their purchase price. Ingenious use of space and a price that represents outstanding value are attributes that will be constant features of all new Carver designs”.

Carver Yachts Unveils another New Yacht in 2013 – The C40 Command Bridge

Pulaski, WI, June 28, 2013: Carver Yachts continues its aggressive stance in addressing the needs of the global yacht market with the introduction of the exciting new Carver C40. This elegant, low profile, 40’ command bridge style yacht is the second new model to be introduced by the company this year and follows the Carver C34 which made its global debut at the 2013 Miami International Boat Show. The initial sea trials of the all new Carver C40 are scheduled to begin August 1, 2013.

The C40 is a command bridge style cruising yacht that takes full advantage of Carver’s sixty years’ experience designing and building spacious and comfortable vessels known for their strength and dependability. The exterior profile and interior accommodations of the C40 are strikingly unique and represents Carver’s fresh new approach to creating exciting products that reflect the needs of today’s boating enthusiasts.

One of the most prominent exterior features of the C40 is the yacht’s expansive low profile command bridge. This elevated environment not only provides the captain with a great vantage point in which to operate the vessel, but the area includes numerous seating and lounging areas to accommodate friends and family. At deck level the C40 is designed with an integrated swim platform, cockpit, salon and galley that create a unified environment for social interaction. This new yacht features a spacious and private master stateroom and private guest cabin. When the salon lounge is converted to a double berth the yacht provides sleeping accommodations for six people. The C40 has two large and very spacious private head compartments. The master head features the largest home-like stall shower you’ll find in a yacht this size. People who walk through this all new Carver will think they are on board a much larger vessel.

The new 40’ Carver’s propulsion system is powered by a pair of efficient and dependable inboard engines which allow the yacht to achieve a top speed in excess of 30 mph. Gasoline or diesel engines are available and a bow thruster can be installed for added maneuverability.

“This new series from Carver is unlike anything on the market today” stated Erik Nelson Vice President-Sales & Marketing for Carver brand yachts. ‘We know that experienced boaters are looking for a new, exciting yacht that suits not only their aesthetic needs but also their functional requirements. Carver’s all new C34 and now the C40 deliver fresh new styling, unmatched space, outstanding value and exceptional quality”.

After extensive sea trails the C40 will make its initial market introduction as a featured new yacht at the Michigan City In-Water Boat Show August 22 – 25, 2013 in Michigan City, Indiana. The 2013 boat show schedule for the C40 includes shows in Norwalk, CT, Annapolis, MD, Newport, RI, Sandusky, OH and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
